What can I do if my Jump Start license is valid but updates aren't working?

First, make sure you've followed the directions in the following article to get updates for Jump Start setup properly.

Assuming you've got everything setup correctly and you have an active Jump Start license, it's still possible you may occasionally see this error:

An error occurred while updating Jump Start: Download failed. Unauthorized.

Sometimes it happens, where even though your licence key was activated at one point, the actual connection with our servers has been lost or the current site hasn't been properly validated.

This most commonly occurs when a license key was activated on one site but then the site was moved. For example, maybe you've copied your live site to a staging environment to make your updates, but the Jump Start theme or extension won't update.

When this happens, you just need to validate the current location of the website with our servers. To do that, go to Appearance > Theme License in your WordPress admin, and click the button, "Deactivate Licence." Then paste in your license key again and re-save the options page.
